Commissioning of Fiji’s Honorary Consul in Osaka Prefecture, for the Kansai Region
The Embassy of the Republic of Fiji in Tokyo successfully commissioned Mr. Takanori OKADA as Fiji’s Honorary Consul for the Kansai Consular District, resident in Osaka City on Monday, 19 August 2019. Mr. Okada’s appointment will cover the Kansai Consular District, which consists of seven large prefectures in western Japan.
Fiji now has 5 Honorary Consuls in Japan, resident in five different Prefectures.

HSBC Womens Sevens Series Kitakyushu
Fiji’s Honorary Consul in Oita Mrs. Mami Kawamura together with Fiji Friends in Oita to support and cheer on the Fijiana 7s team that participated at the HSBC Women’s 7s in Kitakyushu from April 20-21.
The Fijiana 7s team won the Challenge trophy after beating Spain by 41 – 12.
“Request for Proposals” from Master Planners – Wairabetia Economic Zone Project
The Wairabetia Economic Zone project, a development undertaking by the Fiji Ministry of Industry, Trade & Tourism (MITT), is currently at its design consultancy phase.
The Project Manager, Houng Lee Kaba Jacob, is now calling for “Fee Proposals” by suitable Master Planners for the “master planning” phase of the project.
